About me
Hi, I’m Igor Ivanov, a particle physicist and physics educator.
Born in Kamchatka (Russia) and graduated from Novosibirsk State University, I got PhD from the University of Bonn and currently work as professor of physics at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Sun Yat-sen University in China — see My academic CV for more details.
I work in theoretical particle physics and adjacent areas. My main research topics are multi-Higgs models beyond the Standard Model,
including their cosmological implications, and the prospects of vortex states in particle physics — see some highlights in My research topics.
I love teaching physics and participate in physics outreach activities. I’ve written hundreds of popular physics articles and given dozens of public lectures to different audiences — see My physics outreach portfolio for further links.
